  • Comment: This really helps when the old back is aching. I only use the cold therapy because I use a heating pad when it is time for heat therapy, but it is nice to know it is there if I need it. I also wear it when exercising (without hot or cold), and it really helps to prevent the back getting sore.

It's moderately priced, good quality and weather you believe (or not) the magnets inside it work to relieve pain & help heal, if you're a back pain sufferer, you could at least give this a try; the good quality of it makes a good support in itself.

  • Comment: I have worn a variety of back belts over the years as I have 3 damaged disks. I don't wear one every day, as most are bulky and uncomfortable under clothing. When my pain flares up tho, I do wear this belt or an earlier version of it to decrease the pain. The difference is in the magnets. Other belts support my back, but they do nothing for the pain. The magnets in this belt decrease the pain and the effects last past the time I actually wear it. I have bought 4 of these over the last ten years ( I keep one at work, one at home, one in my car, and I have loaned them out to friends in pain). The beauty of this listed belt is that Homedics has added a pocket for a gel pak (included) so that I can ice my back as I am wearing it. I have learned that icing my back is preferable to applying heat, so I don't have the issues others have with reheating the gel pac. I also like the XL size, because it can also be worn lower to relieve my hip and sciatica pain . Great product !!

  • Comment: I use this brace when I am gardening, vacuuming, or when I feel I need to have extra support to protect my back.
    I haven't had to use the hot/cold pack yet but just in case, I keep it in the freezer.
    This wrap has two sets of straps to secure it around my waist so it doesn't slip. I think it is one of the best braces I have purchased.

  • Comment: Had I known, before ordering, that in order to use the microwave heat...

    1 - you must BOIL WATER in the microwave - you can NOT put the gel pack in the microwave directly
    2 - you place the gel pack INTO the heated water
    3 - you are advised to USE TONGS to remove the gel pack from the water
    4 - somehow, while handling a VERY hot gel pack you must now use your hands to stick the gel pack back into the pouch (without burning your hands? the gel pack is a VERY tight fit in the pouch)

    ...I would NOT have purchased this dangerous product.

    People make mistakes with boiling water every day and acquire severe burns.

    This product is going back for a refund - I'll NEVER purchase a product that requires boiling water (unless it's coffee or tea - which is dangerous enough).
